For International Surfing Day, Ocean Minded hosted 3 different events in Florida. For the first event, Ocean Minded teamed up with Surfrider, Quiksilver/Roxy Surf Camps and Living Water Surf School to clean up Pompano Beach at 16th Street and have some fun with the kids. Ocean Minded also got some help from the local city beach cleaning machine(tagged with an OM sticker).
The second event was down in Ft Lauderdale, where OM teamed up with Surfrider, Billabong Surf Camps and Hang Loose Surf School for a beach clean up.
The final Ocean Minded ISD event was up north in Deerfield Beach. Ocean Minded and Surfrider setup just north of the Pier and held a beach cleanup. At one point everyone had to get off of the beach because of the danger of lighting(everyone’s hair was starting to standup).
