This past weekend, Ocean Minded cheered on local ambassador, Lilac Alvarado at the Malta India Junior Pro, held at the notorious Jobos Beach in Isabela, Puerto Rico. In a concentrated effort by Malta India to help push youth sports in Puerto Rico, this event featured surfers under 21 years of age from Venezuela, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and the mainland U.S. Although this 3-day contest saw small surf, Alvarado still finished 3rd in the women’s division and Ocean Minded was proud to support a contest that aims in helping keep our youth off the streets and involved in healthy activities.
