Despite the rainy weather, over 400 participants gathered this past weekend for the 17th Annual Hanohano Huki Ocean Challenge, one of Southern California’s biggest paddle events in the racing scene.
As a presenting Sponsor and in addition to supporting this incredible event, Ocean Minded was there in full force, cheering on brand ambassadors, hosting a beach clean up, and spearheading a clothing drive.
Ocean Minded ambassador Thomas Maximus Shahinian took home the overall line honours coming in 1st Place and the Riviera Junior SUP program helped collect over 75 lbs of disregarded trash during the hosted beach clean up.
In addition to these amazing feats and with the help of Hanohano participants and event sponsors such as Surf-fur Parkas and Riviera Paddlesurf, Ocean Minded also collected over a dozen bags of cold weather supplies in a hosted clothing drive to benefit The Alpha Project.
