Get to know the people behind the Ocean Minded Brand….Product Designer

As Ocean Minded’s Manager of Footwear Design, Thomas Liebert develops our entire range of shoes and sandals – from concept to final production. The process begins with Thomas creating initial sketches, where he incorporates environmentally responsible materials (whenever possible), proper esthetic, and superior fit. The drawings are then sent to our production facilities, where the first-round product samples are created.

Thomas is able to make alterations and modifications to these original samples, until he is able to properly incorporate all four of the Ocean Minded brand pillars: Responsibility, Authenticity, Quality, and Community into a style. By regularly making trips to our factories, Thomas is able to provide a hands-on role in the production of Ocean Minded footwear. After all of his revisions have been executed and approved, the footwear design process is complete and Thomas smiles even more than he usually does!
