Ocean Minded Brand Ambassadors, Chuck Patterson and Candice Appleby joined over 175 other ‘Watermen” on May 30th at the 2009 Hobie Hennessey’s Waterman’s Challenge at Doheny State Beach. The challenge included a 4mile, 6mile and 8mile race in prone and Stand Up Paddle (SUP). Patterson and Appleby competed in the 8mile SUP division on their 14 foot boards. Both OM brand ambassadors went on to win there divisions respectably. Ocean Minded would like to congratulate both Chuck and Candice in their amazing performance!
Along with this intense competition, Ocean Minded hosted a beach cleanup to make sure that Doheny State Beach was left in pristine condition for the next competion.
