Ocean Minded, Inc. Donates $10,000 to Surfrider

Ocean Minded, Inc. presented a $10,000 donation check to their partner of 12 years, The Surfrider Foundation on Thursday April 24th, 2008 at Surfrider’s at their new office.

“We are honored to receive such overwhelming support from Ocean Minded,” said Stefanie Sekich of the Surfrider Foundation. “The moral and financial support Ocean Minded has offered the Save Trestles campaign is truly invaluable. Our work is made possible by cutting edge businesses like Ocean Minded who clearly understand the importance of community involvement,” stated Sekich.

“When I started Ocean Minded back in 1996 I wanted to make a difference and give back to the ocean. Surfrider was a natural partner for us since day one,” said Gary Ward, Ocean Minded’s Founder.

“We share the same spirit in wanting to make a difference in life. We are just getting started with our donations for Surfrider and as our brand grows so will the size of the checks. Surfrider has amazing staff members like Matt McClain and Stefanie Sekich. It has been great to see the whole surf industry get behind Surfrider, because as a whole we are a powerful Group. Save Trestles,” concluded Ward.
